The Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office has released its June 2026 activity report, offering a detailed look at call volumes, enforcement actions, and jail operations across the county. The numbers show a steady pace of public safety activity as deputies, dispatchers, and corrections staff worked through the early summer month.
According to the report, the Communications Division fielded nearly two thousand non‑emergency calls and more than four hundred 911 calls. Dispatchers also managed a mix of hangups, misdials, and open-line calls, along with dozens of transfers to other agencies. Emergency medical and fire responses remained active as well, with 100 EMS calls and 90 fire calls dispatched.
Deputies in the Law Enforcement Division responded to 352 calls for service, generating 91 offense reports and 37 crash reports. Traffic enforcement made up a significant portion of June’s activity, with 237 traffic stops resulting in 199 citations and 177 written warnings. The department also reported 53 arrests and 97 civil processes served.
Inside the jail, the Corrections Division processed 169 bookings and 174 releases. The average daily population for June was 74 inmates, and staff completed 15 prisoner transports during the month.
The Sheriff’s Office reiterated its mission to enhance the quality of life in Stephenson County through professional and dedicated law enforcement service, noting that the June statistics reflect the ongoing work of each division to support community safety.
